Taco Bell's Oatrageous Taco Has 'Meat' Made From—You Guessed It—Oats

Article via delish

"We've already learned that it's pretty easy to eat keto at Taco Bell. It's not as easy to choose what to eat at the taco chain if you happen to be vegetarian, that is, until now. Taco Bell has made a ground beef substitute that's made from oats, and apparently looks and tastes like the real thing.

Taco Bell is one of the few fast food chains that had not yet jumped on the plant-based meat bandwagon. While you can get an Impossible burger nearly everywhere else, there aren't as many options to choose from at Taco Bell. According to Nation's Restaurant News, that's going to change soon with an international roll out of this new plant-based meat.

The taco, appropriately named the "Oatrageous" Taco, was first tested in Finland, and has just made its debut as a permanent menu item in Spain, reported the outlet. A full European release is in the works for 2020."
